Please note that this training is intended for CSPP agencies in Region C to meet MB 23-10 requirements. Region C includes 10 California counties: Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura. Thank you for your cooperation.

ASPIRE funds are used to pay all associated participant fees for this Observer training ($900 value). Attendees must commit to attempting to pass certification testing within a 60-day window.

VCOE's Early Childhood Programs, in partnership with 21CSLA, is excited to offer a professional development training for ECE Administrators, Elementary School Principals, and Teacher Leaders.

In the training Equity-Centered Continuous Improvement through P-3 Assessments, participants will:

  • Be grounded in foundational knowledge and key practices of developmentally appropriate early learning assessments, with an emphasis on observational assessment for continuous improvement
  • Utilize and apply an equity frame to explore, unpack, and critique current assessment practices through examining assessment artifacts across the P-3 system.

Throughout this training, leaders will reflect, synthesize and apply learning to transform your local contexts in order to advance equity-centered, developmentally appropriate, and purposeful assessment into continuous improvement efforts across the P-3 system.
