Return to School After Serious or Lengthy Illness or Injury, Surgery or Hospitalization

 In order to assure the health and safety of students, those who have been hospitalized, had surgery or serious illness or injury must obtain written medical clearance prior to returning to school. A school nurse can provide the VCOE form for medical clearance, or, with written parent/guardian consent can obtain such clearance from the child's health care provider.

Hearing and Vision Screening

 Hearing and vision screening are done at least every three years in accordance with state and federal statutes and regulations. More complete hearing evaluations for students may be obtained at no expense by contacting Hearing Conservation at 805-388-4438.
