The winners of the 2017 Ventura County Science Fair were announced at an awards ceremony on March 27 at the VCOE Conference and Educational Services Center in Camarillo. This year’s science fair featured 720 entries from 850 middle and high school students from throughout Ventura County. At tonight’s ceremony, awards were presented in 13 scientific categories including microbiology, engineering and chemistry. In addition, local companies and organizations selected 50 winners in 13 special categories. The winning entries were chosen by approximately 150 local science, engineering and industry professionals who volunteered their time to serve as judges.
