As summer winds down, the back-to-school transition can be a challenging time for both students and their families. Join us for a workshop designed to equip parents and guardians with the tools, strategies, and supports needed to ensure a smooth and successful return to school. Participants will also learn about local resources to support students and families throughout the year.

*A workshop for parents, caregivers, community agency members, and school staff.

**This fulfills requirements towards Ventura County SELPA Autism Certification Program Module II Instructional Methodology (Para).

Con la llegada del fin de verano, el regreso a la escuela puede ser un momento difícil tanto para los estudiantes como para sus familias. Acompáñenos en este taller diseñado para equipar a los padres y tutores con las técnicas, estrategias y apoyos necesarios para garantizar un regreso a la escuela fluido y exitoso. Los participantes también aprenderán sobre los recursos locales para apoyar a los estudiantes y las familias durante el año escolar.

 *Un taller para padres, cuidadores, miembros de agencias comunitarias y personal escolar.

True Biliteracy requires more than just exposure; it requires intentional engineering of language opportunities. This session focuses on the "how" of integrating oracy into your daily literacy instruction. We will dissect the relationship between speaking and writing, examining how structured oral practice acts as a rehearsal for academic writing. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers to draft specific language structures—including vocabulary strategies, syntax scaffolds, and discourse collaborative structures—that elevate student output from simple sentences to complex academic arguments.

Participants will:
